I have created a web query to help me get data of multiple days in one go from company's website (Not accessible from external internet), But somehow the query is not giving me the correct data. However, the only way so far of editing the url in this dummy web query is to manually go into it, change the url, do an import and then delete all the data I have imported - very icky! Anybody got an idea how I could change the url for this one cell dummy web query in a smoother way? I can change the url for the vba by changing the url in the cell I mention above. They then cancel and click on the buttons to run my vba scripts.Р”В«ut I have lots of these spreadsheet reports and several environments - live, test, demo and 5 training environments, which means I need each of the reports for each of the environments. I ask my users to right click in that cell and log into the web application. Now the problem I am trying to figure out is I have a cell on my Select page which contains a 'dummy' web query (dummy as in no information is ever imported back into it). Url = 'URL + CStr(ss.Range('B3').Value) _ +'/exportreport.aspx?topic=mytopicname' Set export = Application.Worksheets('export') Set ss = Application.Worksheets('Select') The url is entered in cell B3 on the select sheet. The two worksheets are a select worksheet where they validate to the database and enter the url etc, the second is an export worksheet that contains the web query.

I have been doing queries pulling the url from a cell on a spreadsheet. I am sure there is an easier way to do this but what I have created worked with your support. After retreiving that data from the web, the user now has retreive the data located at ' that and again the user only has to enter that and then run a macro that will retreive this non-excel web page.Р”Вoes that make since? I'm sure with the functionality of Excel and VB there is a way to get the web query to dynamically change to the URL located in a particular cell, I just don't know how to go about it. The user enters this in a cell which using the CONCATENATE formula completes the URL. Excel then performs a query on a non-excel web page located at that URL.
